After the dot com crash in 2000, increased competition has resulted in lower development costs and shorter delivery cycles. Content is king. People do not visit websites to see pretty graphics, to play with interfaces or listen to nice sounds. People visit websites for information and content (though the whole package can make a big difference to how that information is received) and for effective business results, content has to be a priority.
